We’ve been given top marks by our residents in a nationwide survey for the activities and hobbies we provide at Riversway.
The results show that Riversway was given an overall performance rating (OPR) score of 809 out of 1,000, and rated at 100 per cent for the opportunities presented for activities and hobbies at the home.
For the standard of its food, Riversway beat the national average of 89 per cent with 96 per cent in the third year of the Your Care Rating survey, the country’s largest and most authoritative survey of care home residents.
Jan Wilkins, general manager at Riversway Nursing Home, part of the Springhill Care Group, said: “The feedback was good to hear. This is one way of listening to residents to continually improve and for them to help shape the service going forward.”
The nationwide survey gives residents a voice, putting their care at the heart of understanding more about how well care homes perform.
More than 21,000 residents in 1,034 care homes across the UK took part. Each care home was given an overall score based on resident feedback across four broad themes; Staff and Care, Home Comforts, Choice and Having a Say, and Quality of Life.
All of this year’s results for every care home surveyed are displayed on the Your Care Rating website www.yourcarerating.org.
