Family and friends helped popular resident Edith Bryant celebrate her 101st birthday recently – an incredible landmark.
Edith was born and brought up in Bristol, and recalls the city during wartime when a bomb narrowly missed her house.
For the special occasion her son Malcolm travelled to Riversway from his home in Richmond, North Yorkshire, with his wife Christina and dog Leo.
Edith, known as Aunty Dolly to many people in the community, always has a smile on her face and thanks to a large family – with a grand-daughter and great-grandchildren – plenty of visitors. She also puts her long life down to having family around her.
We love an excuse for a party here at Riversway, and this was such a special occasion everyone pulled out all the stops to help Edith and her family mark her special day in real style.”
