Award Winning...

Recognised through the achievement of the prestigious national "Investors in People” award, Riversway is also fully registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection, (CSCI), who provide detailed reports following each comprehensive inspection. Riversway recommends and welcomes inspection visits, any time, either announced or unannounced. Consistently exceeding the standards set, Riversway’s reports are also available for inspection at the home, where its commitment to quality care, accommodation and service can be seen first hand.

Riversway is also regularly inspected by Bristol Social Services. The last inspection visit being an unannounced one on the 20th December 2007, this report can also be viewed at the home. Riversway was delighted that there were no statutory requirements and with the many areas of good practice that were identified in the report including; the physical environment; relaxed and friendly atmosphere; residents meals; risk assessments, record keeping and meeting resident's needs.

Putting People First…

Person centred care is at the heart of our service. Throughout every aspect of their care, residents are invited to be involved, to as little or as greater an extent as they wish, in how they live and are cared for at Riversway; from personal care planning, through to monthly residents meetings, where for example, ideas for activities, outings and menu choices are welcomed.
